Terms and Conditions of www.UKOfficialCertificates.co.uk suppliers of replacement copies of Birth, Death, Marriage and Adoption Certificates to be used for any official or legal purposes.
Your Obligation & Refund Policy We only provide services on the understanding that you have given us full and proper instructions and the authority to lawfully carry out those instructions. You warrant that you are acting on your own authority or have the authority of your client to instruct us. Where you have appointed officers to the company you warrant that you have the full consent of those officers to be so appointed.
www.UKOfficialCertificates.co.uk will only process where we believe the purpose of the certificate is legitimate. In order for us to carry out searches we require all mandatory fields to be completed. Any inaccurate information will result in a no trace. We cannot be held accountable for any inaccurate information made on the order form by you either online or over the phone. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy and validity of this information before you proceed with your order.
Should you purchase your BMD Certificate through www.UKOfficialCertificates.co.uk and change your mind before us submitting to a Government registrar we will refund all monies paid to us.
In instance of a no trace (this only refers to Decree Absolute Orders) any resulting information will be passed on to you. No refund will be issued if there are no exact results/findings.
Refunds and cancellation cannot be given once your details have been submitted to the relevant registrar. www.UKOfficialCertificates.co.uk cannot offer cancellation rights as the orders are directly processed into the relevant government registrars, the following directive relates to the exception to the right to cancel, leaving us unable to stop the system. If a BMD certificate cannot be processed or traced we will part refund once we have taken a search fee of £6.00 for a standard service and £23.50 for a Priority service. In the unlikely event that we make a mistake on a certificate we will send you a corrected certificate as soon as you notify us of our mistake. You must do that within 7 days. A refund cannot be made or offered if we have taken longer than we have stated on our order page for a despatch of the certificate as sometimes you might provide us with a limited information which can delay in locating, obtaining and despatching the certificate to you or sometimes the registrar’s have a backlog of orders and delay in issuing the certificate which is beyond our ability to provide the service as we have stated.
Price and Payment The prices payable for services that you order are set out on our website. We reserve the right to vary these prices from time to time and post such changes on our site.
Payment will be made by credit/debit card through Paypal and Google Checkout or cheque/postal order or by bank transfer.
You agree to pay the prices set out on our website for services selected by clicking the submit button.
Certificates will be ordered once we are in receipt of cleared funds.
Performance & Delivery : Time is not of the essence for the performance of the services. We will use our reasonable endeavours to meet the time estimates given on our site but these remain estimates and in particular we accept no responsibility for delay caused by third parties or for reasons outside our control (such as the unavailability of the world wide web or for computer systems or telecommunications failure or where outside agencies systems have failed). Delivery times quoted are given in good faith. At certain times the process may be slower due to busy time of year e.g.: certificates required for passport applications etc, we will endeavour to announce on our website any such delays and whilst in around 99% of the ordered products are adhered to they do not form part of our contract the given time is based on working days and is deemed to commence on the next working day following receipt of order and payment after 14:30pm. www.UKOfficialCertificates.co.uk will despatch BMD Certificates via 1st Class Royal Mail. We cannot be held responsible for lost or non receipt of certificates however www.UKOfficialCertificates.co.uk will at our discretion issue additional certificates at no extra charge to the customer.
We are not obliged to accept any request or to continue to perform any service. We reserve the right to reject any request or to discontinue the performance of our service without liability.
Variation We reserve the right at any time without notice to revise the content of our website (including the services offered by us) and the terms and conditions. The current version of our terms and conditions will be posted on our site and by continuing to use our site you will signify that you agree to be bound by those terms and conditions as amended from time to time.
Termination of Access We reserve the right in our sole discretion to deny users access to our site or any part of our site without notice and to decline to provide the service to any user that is in breach of the terms and conditions.
Force Majeure We shall not be liable to you for any breach of the terms and conditions or any failure to provide or delay in providing our services through our site resulting from any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including breakdown of systems or network access, or loss/damaged and delay of postal deliveries by Royal Mail.
Privacy We have security measures in place to ensure your data is safe. The information you provide will only be used for searching the relevant certificate. The information provided will be kept confidential and not used for marketing purposes other than contacting you regarding your order. As data processors we comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
